The days of the week -- Los días de la semana

In order to express today's day we ask: ¿Qué día es hoy? To respond, we say:

• How es lunes.

  • Today is Monday.

• Hoy es martes.

  • Today is Tuesday.

The days of the week are not capitalized in Spanish. In Spanish the first day of the week is lunes (Monday).
